吉檀迦利  第八章（2）

    thou art the brother amongst my brothers, but i heed them not, i divide not my earnings  my all ive up my life, and thus do not plunge into the great ods held their assembly in the sky and sang"oh, the picture of perfection! the joy unalloyed!"

    but one cried of a sudden——"it seems that someht and one of the stars has been lost."

    the golden string of their harp snapped, their song stopped, and they cried in dismay——"yes, that lost star lory of all heavens!"

    from that day the search is unceasing for her, and the cry goes on from one to the other that in her the ht the stars smile and  themselves——"vain is this seeking! unbroken perfection is over all!"

    万物伊始，繁星射出第一道炫目的光芒，众神群集天上，唱着：“啊，完美的图画，纯粹的欢乐！”

    突然，其中一位叫了起来——“光链好像断了一处，一颗星迷失了。”

    他们竖琴的金弦突然啪地断了，歌声戛然而止，他们惊惶地叫着——“是的，那颗迷失的星星是最美的，她是整座天堂的荣耀！”

    从那天起，他们不停地寻找她，众口相传，由于她的丢失，世间失去了一种快乐。

    只有在沉静的夜里，众星微笑着相互低语——“寻找是徒劳的，无缺的完美笼罩了一切！”

    79. let me not forget永不忘记

    if this be thy  emptiness of mine, paint it ild it old, float it on the ain ht, i shall melt and vanish a, in a coolness of purity transparent.

    我像一片秋日残云，徒然飘拂空中。啊，我永远绚烂的太阳！你的还没有蒸干我的水汽，使我与你的光辉交融。于是，我细数着与你分离的漫长岁月。

    假如这是你的愿望，你的游戏，就请带走我短暂的空虚，给它镀金染色，让它在肆虐的风中游荡，舒展成万种奇观。

    再者，假如你希望晚上结束这场游戏，我就在一片黑暗中，在洁白清晨的微笑中，或在剔透圣洁的清爽中，融化消失。</p>
