    在科罗拉多州的丹佛市，美国航空公司有一位登机服务员，因其对一位生气的旅客所表现出来的风趣幽默以及坚守岗位的服务态度和敬业精神，而得到当局的奖赏。有位只能乘货舱的旅客，态度非但不耐烦，而且很粗鲁，而这位服务员却始终表现得很得体。

    因为天气不好，一班载客量很大的美国航空公司的班机突然被取消了。

    就在这名服务员正独自一人为一大队旅客重新划位时，一个怒火朝天的旅客挤到队伍的最前面，用拳头捶着柜台，以引起这名服务员的注意。此时，她正在为其他排队等待的旅客服务。

    他“啪”的一声将机票扔在柜台上，推向这名服务员，说道：“我必须搭这趟班机，最好是头等舱，我现在很生气。”

    这位服务员回答：“对不起，先生。尽管我愿意为您效劳，可是现在我首先要帮这些排队的人处理问题。”

    “假如您去排队的话，轮到您的时候，我会非常乐意为您效劳。我知道您的心情不好，可是非常抱歉。其他这些旅客和您一样感觉很不方便。我确信轮到您的时候，我们一定会为您妥善安排好一切补救措施的。”

    这个旅客不为所动，并且变得更加恼火。他不肯移动半步，而且叫得特别大声，在场的所有其他旅客都听到他在说：“你知道我是谁吗？”这名服务员微笑着，毫不犹豫地拿起扩音器说道：“大家请注意！”她开始说道，声音传遍了整个航站。

    “41号登记口有一位旅客不知道自己是谁。我再重复一遍，他不知道自己是谁，他就站在柜台的前面，身穿一件白色衬衫，走过来就能看到他。假如有哪位知道他是谁或者能帮助他辨认自己的身份，请到41号登机口告诉服务员，谢谢。”

    所有的其他旅客都笑了起来。这个人怒气冲天，张开嘴想要说什么，却又把话咽了下去。他一声不吭地走到队伍的最后面。那位服务员又回到她的位置上，继续帮排队的旅客划位。接下来的一整天也没有发生什么状况。

    “if you could please find your place in the line, i  out for you er ry. he . he yelled loudly, so that all of the other passengers could hear, “do you have any idea , the gate agent smiled and grabbed her public address microphone,“may i have your attention please?” she began, her voice bello throughout the entire airport terminal.

    “er here at gate 41  right at the very front of the counter and is  a ent at gate 41. thank you.”

    all of the other passengers laughed. the man  and then decided against it. speechless, he stomped to the back of the line. the gate agent returned to helping all of the people in order. the rest of the day went without incident.

    在一个深秋的夜晚，两个男孩收集了满满一袋子栗子，他们准备到墓地里去平分。路上，其中一个男孩一不小心将袋子掉在了地上，其中两颗滚了出去。“我们待会儿再过来找。”他说。于是他们走进墓地去分剩余的栗子。就在他们分栗子的时候，有一个小女孩恰巧从墓地经过。令她感觉恐惧的是，她听到树丛后面有一个声音在说：“你一个，我一个，你一个，我一个！”小女孩跑到大门口，刚好撞到了一个警察。“发生了什么事，小姑娘？”</p>
