吉檀迦利  第六章（2）

    我对你一无所求。我不告诉你我的名字。你离开的时候我静静地站着。我独立在树影横斜的井旁，女人们已顶着褐色的瓦罐，汲满水回家了。她们对我喊道：“和我们一块走吧，都快到正午了。”但我仍缱绻流连，沉浸在恍惚的冥想中。

    我没有听见你走来的脚步声。你幽怨地望着我，疲惫地低语道——“哦，我是一个饥渴的旅客。”我从梦中惊起，把我罐里的水倒在你捧着的手掌里。树叶在头顶沙沙作响。布谷鸟在幽暗处歌唱，而曲径飘来了胶树的花香。

    你问起我的名字，我羞得悄立无语。真的，我为你做了什么，值得你如此记挂？但是我有幸能给你水解渴，这段温馨的回忆将存留心头。天色已晚，鸟儿唱着倦歌，楝树叶子在头上沙沙作响，我坐着反复地想了又想。
