石榴

    我曾住在一个石榴中。某天，我听见一粒种子说：“有一天我会变成一棵树，风儿会在我的树梢唱歌，阳光会在我的叶片上跳舞，我会四季强健，美丽非凡。”

    另一粒种子开口了：“当我跟你一样年轻时，我也持这种观点，但是现在，我会衡量事物，我明白我的希望化为了泡影。”

    第三粒种子开口了：“我想，对于我们，没有任何事物能预示美好的明天。”

    第四粒种子说：“我们的生活是怎样的一种嘲讽啊，根本就没有光明的未来。”

    第五粒种子说：“为什么要争论我们究竟会成为什么呢，我们甚至不知道自己是什么。”

    第六粒种子回答道：“不管我们现在是什么，我们都会继续是什么的。”

    第七粒种子说：“我清楚地知道一切事物会怎样，但我不能把它付诸言辞。”

    然后，第八粒说话了—第九粒—第十粒—许多许多—直到大家都发言了，众多声音中我什么也辨别不出来。

    就在那天，我搬进了一棵柏树里，那里种子不多，非常安静。

    the pomegranate

    once  in the heart of a pomegranate, i heard a seed saying, “someday i shall become a tree, and the  in my branches, and the sun  and beautiful through all the seasons.”

    said a fifth, “ hth spoke—and a ninth—and a tenth—and then many—until all , and i could distinguish nothing for the many voices.

    and so i moved that very day into the heart of a quince, ost silent.</p>
