自知

    一位男子说：请给我们讲讲自知的事。

    他于是说道：

    你们的心灵在静谧中领悟昼夜的秘密。

    你们的耳朵却渴望聆听你们心的知识的声音。

    你们想用语言解析那原本用思想理解的东西。

    你们想用手指碰触梦中的实体。

    这是你们本该做的。

    你们灵魂中潜藏的泉源必然需要喷涌，澎湃着流入大海；

    你们无法测度的宝藏将展现在你们面前。

    但不要用天平来称量那未知的宝藏；

    不要用标尺或测绳来探量你们的知识。

    因为自我是广阔的无法度量的大海。

    不要说：“我找到了真理。”而应说：“我找到了一条真理。”

    不要说：“我找到了灵魂之路。”而应说：“我遇到了在我小径上漫步的灵魂。”

    因为灵魂在一切道路上漫步。

    灵魂不只在一条路上行走，也不像芦苇般成长。

    灵魂伸展自我，犹如一朵有着无数花瓣的莲花绽放。

    for self is a sea boundless and measureless.

    say not, “have found the truth.”but rather, “have found a truth.”

    say not, “have found the path of the soul.”say rather,“have met the soul  upon my path.”

    for the soul row like a reed.

    the soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.</p>
