    一轮圆月骄傲地升起在小镇的上空，镇上所有的狗都开始对着月亮狂吠。

    只有一只狗没有叫，他严肃地对他们说：“别把寂静从水中吵醒了，也不要把月亮带到堤上来。”

    于是所有的狗都停止了狂吠，一片肃穆。之后，对他们讲话的这只狗却因寂静而彻夜狂吠。

    隐居的先知

    从前，有位隐居的先知，他每个月去大城市三趟，到市集上布道，向大家宣讲施与与分享，他口若悬河，能言善辩，闻名于世。

    一天傍晚，有三个人来到他隐居的地方，他向他们表示问候。他们说：“你一直在宣扬施与与分享之道，你叫那些所有颇丰的人施与那些一无所有的人，我们不怀疑你的名声给你带来了财产。现在来给我们你的财产吧，因为我们需要。”

    隐士回答道：“我的朋友，我一无所有，只有这张床，这床垫子和这罐水。如果想要就带走吧。我没有金子也没有银子。”

    他们鄙夷地看着他，背过了脸。最后一个人在门口站了一会儿，说：“哦，你撒谎！你这个骗子！你布道宣讲那些你自己都做不到的东西。”</p>
