流浪者  第一章（2）

    云雀答道：“我以为我们是一家子呢。”

    鹰不屑地说：“谁说我和你是一家子啊。”

    云雀于是答道：“可是我得提醒你，我能飞得和你一样高，我还能唱歌，能给世间生灵带来乐趣。你呢，既不能给之以欢愉，又不能带之以乐趣。”

    鹰怒道：“欢愉和乐趣！你这个自以为是的小东西！我只要轻轻一啄，你就完蛋了。你只有我的脚掌那么丁点大。”

    云雀飞起来扑在鹰的背上，开始拔鹰的羽毛。鹰很懊恼，他迅疾地飞起来，想借此把云雀甩下来，但无济于事。最后他跌落在山头的那块岩石上，那个小东西还在他的背上，他就越发恼怒了，他诅咒着这一刻的晦气。

    正在那时，一只海龟爬过，见此情景，忍不住哈哈大笑，笑得前仰后合，差点翻了个底朝天。

    鹰不把龟放在眼里，他说：“你这动作迟缓的家伙，一辈子都在土上爬，你笑什么？”

    海龟答道：“我怎么看见你成了马呢，让只小鸟骑在背上。这只小鸟倒是比你明智多了。”

    鹰对她说：“你少管闲事，管好你自己吧，这只是我和我的兄弟云雀间的家务事。”

    the eagle and the skylark

    a skylark and an eagle met on a rock upon a high hill. the skylark said, “good morrole looked do.”

    and the skylark said, “i hope all things are le, “all is  of birds, and that you shall not address us before le looked upon him h as you, and i can sing and give delight to the other creatures of this earth. and you give neither pleasure nor delight.”

    then the eagle ered, and he said, “pleasure and delight! you little presumptuous creature! hted upon the back of the eagle and began to pick at his feathers. the eagle h that he might rid himself of the little bird. but he failed to do so. at last he dropped back to that very rock upon the high hill, more fretted than ever,  the fate of the hour.

    nohed at the sight, and laughed so hard the she almost turned upon her back.

    and the eagle looked do thing, ever one hing at?”

    and the turtle said, “ you, but the small bird is the better bird.”

    and the eagle said to her, “g

    o you about your business. this is a fly affair bety brother, the lark, and myself.”
