    一个老水手遇到三个受邀参加婚宴的勇士，

    他拦住其中一个勇士，

    「你这个留着长长的银灰胡子、眼睛闪闪发光的老人，为什么要拦着我不让我走呢？

    新郎家的每扇门都大大地打开了，

    而我可是他最亲近的亲戚，

    所有的宾客都纷纷到齐了，喜筵也准备好了，

    我已经帖那传来的吹乐声。」

    他用他瘦骨嶙峋的手紧紧抓住他不放，

    「有一艘船。」老水手说。

    「放开我，离我远一点，你这灰胡子的老头。」

    他随即将手放下。

    老水手用他热切而发亮的眼睛盯着他，

    这个婚礼的客人站得挺直，

    像一个三岁小孩般认真地聆听，老水手彷佛控制了他的意志，他想怎样便能怎样。

    那婚礼的客人坐在一颗石头上，

    他没有选择，只有仔细聆听，

    以下这个故事便是这个

    有着明亮双眼的老人说的。

    「这艘船在众人的欢呼声下，航行出畅行无阻的港口，我们满心欢喜地出航了，

    我们航经教堂、山丘，

    最后灯塔消失在远方。

    太阳从左方升起，

    从那无际的海面涌出，

    终日发出万丈光芒，

    然后，他从右方，沉入海里了。

    太阳越升越高，

    一天中午，他直射桅杆顶端……

    那婚礼佳宾听到这里拍打着自己的胸口，

    因为他帖了婚礼传来响亮的巴松管乐，

    新娘子已经步入大厅了，

    她娇艳如玫瑰，

    乐师愉悦地点头示意开始奏乐，

    在新娘子进来之前，

    婚礼的客人拍打着自己的胸膛，

    他无从选择，只能倾听下去了，

    于是那有着明亮双眼的老水手

    继续着他的故事，

    那风暴既暴烈又恐怖，

    暴风鼓着翅膀来袭，

    一路追着我们，

    将船逼向南方，

    船桅倾斜了，船头在水里横冲直撞，

    正如一个人被敌人边怒吼边追击，

    一直踩着敌人的阴影，

    使他的头直往前探，

    船在海上疾驶，风暴怒吼着，

    我们终于逃窜到南极，

    四处弥漫着浓雾，且不停地下着雪，

    天气变得非常非常的冷，

    而冰山群像船桅般高耸，漂流过来，

    像翡翠一样绿。

    浮山之外还有许多雪山，

    映射着惨淡光芒，

    看不见人迹或野兽，

    除了冰山还是冰山，

    这里是冰山，那里是冰山，

    到处都是冰山，

    它发出爆烈声和咆哮声，不停地狂吼怒号，

    正如我们昏厥时帖的声响，

    信天翁穿越重重浓雾，

    来到船周围，

    我们以天父之名欢呼牠，

    彷佛牠是基督重现。

    信天翁吃到牠从未吃过的东西，

    然后绕着食物飞来飞去绕着圈子，

    突然，一声雷响，冰山迸裂，

    舵手驾驶着船通过重重的冰山。

    一阵南风从船尾吹来，

    信天翁在那上方徘徊，

    日复一日，信天翁徘徊着，为了食物或玩耍，

    呼应着水手的欢呼声，

    牠栖息在分不清是浓雾或白云中，

    在船桅或绳索上，直到黄昏之星出现，

    整个夜晚，透过烟雾的雪白，

    白色的月亮在夜晚闪耀着光芒，

    「请上帝饶恕你吧！老水手！

    来自恶魔的谴责将因而降临在你身上！─

    看看你为什么要这么做？」─用十字弓

    我射下了信天翁。

    part Ⅰ

    it is an ancient mariner,

    and he stoppeth one of three.

    “by thy long grey beard and glittering eye,

    noroom's doors are opened uests are met, the feast is set :

    may'st hear the merry din.”

    he holds him rey-beard loon !”

    and listens like a three years, child :

    the mariner hath his -guest sat on a stone :

    he cannot choose but hear ;

    and thus spake on that ancient man,

    the bright-eyed mariner.

    the sun came up upon the left,

    out of the sea came he !

    and he shone bright, and on the right

    her and higher every day,

    till over the mast at noon—

    the -guest here beat his breast,

    for he heard the loud bassoon.

    the bride hath paced into the hall,

    red as a rose is she ;

    nodding their heads before her goes

    the merry minstrelsy.

    the -guest he beat his breast,

    yet he cannot choose but hear ;

    and thus spake on that ancient man,

    the bright-eyed mariner.

    and no :

    he struck  s,

    and chased us south along.

    masts and dipping proreh, came floating by,

    as green as emerald.

    and through the drifts the snoroth did cross an albatross,

    thorough the fog it came ;

    as if it had been a christian soul,

    h !

    and a good south  up behind ;

    the albatross did folloht, through fog-smoke ue thee thus !—
